Create a bluetooth based mobile payment solution with 2 apps

The brief

Our mission was to create the product Horizon for the Viennese Fintech Start-Up Vipaso. Horizon is a Bluetooth based mobile payment solution with 2 apps (Terminal app for the merchants, Wallet app for the consumers) and a Back End that executes the payments and provides all the necessary data to the apps. The user has access to data like transaction history, location of participating stores and can edit the user settings. 

Further product enhancements like e-commerce capability and offline payments were in the design phase. 

Our approach

We supported our client in all phases of the software development with our proven scrum framework. Our business analysists did the requirements engineering and defined the user stories in close cooperation with the client. Our mobile and back-end developers provided the product based on the specifications. Also, unit and regression tests were performed by Be. 

The solution and key benefits

We performed a Go-Live and a upload into the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for the Donauinselfest 2022 under the name Vienna Pay. All transactions made were successfully processed.
